Paradise Beach
Located on Patong’s southern headland there are two gorgeous beach areas that retain relatively untouched. These two beaches are not as secret as the other ones I’ve mentioned in this guide but still offer a relaxing getaway from the tourist crowds at Patong. Right on the headland’s tip you can find Paradise Beach, which can be reached by a walking track or by boat.

This is truly a tremendous beach featuring overhanging trees, providing cool shady spots. Here you won’t find any kind of accommodation but the beach does offer numerous sun lounges along with a cosy restaurant. The rocky seabed isn’t the most comfortable option for sunbathers but visitors will appreciate the superb snorkelling. Normally there are many of beach lovers strolling around but still it is amazing that seemingly plenty of holidaymakers in Patong never heard of charming Paradise Beach!

Nui Beach
Positioned between the beaches of Nai Harn and Kata, Nui Beach is quite hard to access on foot. A more than one mile dirt track provides the sole way to access this beach by land. It is not recommended to drive by car along this track. Perhaps a motorbike will lead you there but the track will still be tricky. Most convenient is to walk along the track or ask one of the locals for a ride in their ATV, which will cost only a few baht.

Stunning Nui Beach

Due to owners charging visitors a 250 baht fee for crossing their private land, Nui Beach is probably Phuket’s most expensive one. This charge includes a refreshment and sun lounge. Once you arrive on the beach you’ll be impressed by this stunning secluded location offering some great snorkelling and swimming. Nui Beach isn’t facilitated with accommodation but does provide a charming restaurant, which overlooks the pretty beach area. Nui Beach is never busy.

Ao Sane Beach
Ao Sane can be found on Nai Harn’s northern end. Travellers will have to follow a route leading through the car park of Le Meridian Phuket Yacht Club to access the beach but they will allow you to enter the parking site. There are several budget-friendly beach bungalows along with a restaurant here and some budget bungalows by the beach. In general you’ll meet some visitors here but the area never gets crowded.

Actually Ao Sane Beach is formed by, split by tiny rocky headlands, three smaller beaches. None of these is suitable for swimmers due to corals and rocks close to the coast. However, snorkelling here is superb!

Ao Yon Beach
Ao Yon Beach is deeply nestled into Cape Panwa. This is Phuket’s southern side’s finest beach area. Although this beach boasts well developed residential properties, restaurants and hotels aren’t available near Ao Yon. The beach serves as the Phuket Yacht Club’s base and many ships are always moored in the pretty bay.

Laemka Beach
Located between Friendship Beach and Rawai at Phuket’s southern end, there aren’t any signs showing the way to tiny Laemka Beach and therefore it is rather difficult to find. However, this is truly a spot of exceptional natural beauty. A modestly-sized bungalow resort and the Evason hotel are positioned within a short distance of the beach but still the ambience remains tranquil. The picturesque beach ranks among the few spots suitable for swimming and offers pretty views overlooking the southern isles.
