The superb Sala Phuket Resort enjoys a tranquil location on the pristine Maikhao beach, which is situated on Phuket’s northwest shore. For several decades, the wealthy owners fortunately have kept this area undeveloped. The decision constructing the boutique resort was mainly pushed by the success of the small first-class Sala Samui holiday resort on Koh Samui’s Choeng Mon beach. Sala Phuket represents a modern look. Positioned side by side, from the beach the private pool villas are easy accessible via a gateway along a leafy trail.

My villa is comfortable, boasting a bathtub, under the high ceiling a laid-back daybed and a nice view looking out over the pool, which is placed amidst a tropical garden and surrounded by twin sun lounges. The chilled-out ambience extends to the door-less toilet, hidden away in a corner and the open-air shower.

The indoor bedroom is at one side of the pool, which comes facilitated with coffeemaker, mini bar, writing desk, TV with entertainment console and snacks. The double bed is spacious and inviting with comfortable sheets and clean crisp. The unit offers cable television and Wi-Fi Internet on a large flat-screen TV.

Sala Phuket Resort boasts an on-site beachfront restaurant featuring a soothing outdoor terrace along with romantic rooftop dining and wining. This resort is truly one of Phuket’s few destinations providing a gorgeous getaway from the popular and touristy beach areas.
