Enjoy staying in a tranquilly located resort

Wonderfully positioned in Thailand’s southern part, tropical Phuket ranks among Asia’s most popular holiday destinations. Whether tourists are looking for breathtakingly beautiful natural sceneries or a full set of action packed adventure options, or perhaps a laid-back family vacation or a blend of all these three possibilities, Phuket boasts a comprehensive tourist infrastructure that has everything to satisfy each kind of traveller. The entire island features outstanding beauty along with a wide range of recreational activities, leisure options, beach areas, nightlife, accommodation, health treatments and many more enjoyable opportunities.

One of Phuket’s quieter beaches is Mai Khao on the island’s West coast. Here you can find the outstanding hotel and resort, West Sands. Mai Khao Beach is more than nine miles long and perhaps Phuket’s longest.

West Sands offers 500 metres of private beach along the Andaman Sea and out of all the other ones it is the longest beach while nearby is a reputed Scuba dive school. A beach pool and international restaurant are also available for those travellers preferring to enjoy a tranquil holiday their by the cool soothing waves. The West Sands is absolutely a must for visitors not looking for mass tourism and rowdy nightlife.

However, there are many more tranquil spots on Phuket, which represent excellent lodging establishments, away from the crowds. Last year I booked my hotel on the delightfully undeveloped Nai Harn Beach. My family and I stayed for three weeks in the superb All Seasons Naiharn Phuket Resort, which is one of the two resorts on this peaceful beach.

The gorgeous beach area is solely shared with the Le Meridien Yacht Club and is considered to be one of Phuket’s most stunning beaches, having a more laid-back ambience and private feeling than the more northern Karon and Kata beaches, but it is still within a short distance of shopping areas and enjoyable excursion options.
