Phuket, Thailand’s best golf destination

Thailand’s largest island is perhaps the finest location in the country for some great golf, with several world-class courses in region. This tourist hot spot’s golf courses offer a challenging playground in a pleasurable tropical climate, attracting tourists from all over the globe.

At the three separate Phuket golf courses there are 81 holes to be played and all of them offer gear rental and are open to the general public. Carts, umbrellas, shoes and caddies can all be hired at reasonable fees.

However, this popular holiday destination gets very crowded during the peak season between December and January and travellers wishing to indulge in some exciting golf in Phuket are recommended to book in advance. Phuket is also hardly the cheapest destination to play golf in the ‘land of smiles’ and better value can be had in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Generally a round of golf will cost about 40 Euros.
