Take a Trip to Bang Pae Waterfall

The Bang Pae Waterfall is found within the Khao Phra Thaew National Park, just up from the Ton Sai Waterfall. As there is a fee to the National Park, it’s a good idea to combine your visit to the Bang Pae Waterfall with the Ton Sai Waterfall which is also located within the Khao Phra Thaew National Park. The Bang Pae Waterfall makes for a great little trip out from the main centre of Phuket. Not only is the waterfall refreshing with its cool water and stunning pool, there is also a lovely track which you can enjoy a walk around, taking in the tranquil jungle surrounds. There are a number of food stalls around the Band Pae Waterfall, so you can come to enjoy a delicious lunch in the pristine natural setting of the waterfall.

A particularly interesting attraction at the Bang Pae Waterfall which is also worth a look is the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project. The aim of this project is to rehabilitate the gibbons which were once used in tourist shows into the wild. The project workers are available to talk to about the project, and there is also a small viewing area where you can watch gibbons playing in their cage area.

Bang Pae Waterfall is also considered a great place for a refreshing swim on hot days. Go for a walk along the walking trail, and then finish off your trip to the waterfall with a cool swim in the waterfall’s cool pool.
